Marina Makyan
Location: Republic of Armenia
Key Qualifications: Marina advises and represents domestic and international clients on complex corporate, commercial, employment and regulatory matters, with particular expertise in dispute resolution and international arbitration.

Experience:
Marina is an Attorney-at-Law and a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia. She advises and represents multinational corporations, leading Armenian businesses and technology companies on complex matters involving Armenian and international law, with particular experience in corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory and dispute resolution matters.
Prior to joining private practice, Marina served as Assistant to a Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, where she gained substantial experience in constitutional law, judicial decision-making, legal interpretation and the analysis of complex legislative and regulatory issues. She subsequently served as a Senior Lawyer at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, further developing her expertise in legal research, judicial practice and professional legal analysis.
Marina advises and represents clients in complex disputes, including employment disputes involving senior executives, regulatory and commercial disputes concerning digital platforms, and international arbitration proceedings. She also advises international clients on Armenian legal and regulatory matters in connection with their business activities and investments, as well as on competition and other regulatory issues.
Her practice frequently involves sophisticated and novel legal questions requiring detailed analysis of legislation, regulatory frameworks and case law, including matters where the applicable legal framework is evolving or unsettled. Marina combines rigorous legal research and analytical skills with a practical understanding of clients’ commercial objectives to develop effective strategies and commercially focused solutions.
Marina is the author of several publications in Armenian and international legal journals and maintains a strong interest in legal scholarship and developments in Armenian law. Her experience in the judiciary and private practice enables her to approach complex legal matters from both a practical and judicial perspective.
